Phil Jones not included in the roster of 25 men Manchester United this season. Although still under contract for another season, the central defender is considered exhausted.
Reported by Manchester Evening News, Manchester United released the names of the top 25 players in Premier League this season. In the ranks of the central defender there is no name Phil Jones.
Phil Jones was not included in Manchester United’s pre-season tour before the start of the 2022/2023 season. Manchester United’s central defenders are Harr Maguire, Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof.

Jones’s contract expires in the summer of 2023. The Red Devils were about to sell him on the market last summer, but there were no fans.
Phil Jones bought Manchester United from Blackburn in 2010 under Sir Alex Ferguson. For seven years, Jones had enough time to play and became Rio Ferdinand’s successor.
Unfortunately, a storm of wounded hit Jones. The ankle and hamstring injuries are his regular and the worst is a knee injury so he has to be out for a long time.
For the 2019/2020 season, for example, Jones had to miss 78 matches of HT!
