LONDONHelicopter hybrid Linx P9 buatan Arc Aero Systems English promises various advantages, such as faster and more economical. This helicopter is a combination of plane, helicopter and gyroplane, with a composite body design.

Arc Aero Systems, previously known as Samada Aerospace, said that the Linx P9 helicopter is a cost-effective and low-carbon solution for inter-city travel. The Linx P9 hybrid promises to beat comparable sized helicopters in terms of range, speed and operating costs.

For comparison, the Sikorsky S-92 helicopter with a capacity of 9 seats flies with a top cruising speed of 280 km/h and reaches a maximum range of 1,014 km. Meanwhile, the Linx P9 helicopter with a capacity of 9 seats has a maximum cruising speed of 370 km/hour and a maximum range of 1,300 km.

This advantage is because the Linx P9 helicopter has a light weight with a composite body of around 1,930 kg when empty. While the Sikorsky S-92 carries a load of around 2,333 kg. In terms of cost, Arc says the helicopter costs about $505 per hour to operate, or about 40% less than similar helicopters.

Quoted from the NewAtlas page, Tuesday (24/1/2023), the body of the Linx P9 is a combination of an airplane, helicopter and gyroplane with a full composite design. The Linx P9 helicopter has a 12.6-meter slender main wing, with a pair of 2-meter thrusters hanging down from the rear. Plus, the wings and tail fins are quite large.

The large upper rotor is 13 meters long, but is not paired with a tail rotor, much like a gyroplane. The Linx P9 uses an electric motor to quickly turn the top rotor for vertical take-off and landing.

As for the 370-kW turbo engine booster that produces 496-hp power, the Linx P9 helicopter uses hydrogen sustainable aviation fuel. The Arc design is similar to the Rosa Aerodyne made by Jaunt Air Mobility, a development of the CarterCopter or slow rotor concept.
