Nature offers us a myriad of aids to heal our health from A to Z. Today we want to explain how to combat stomach, intestinal and circulatory system disorders with this plant: we are talking about calendula.
What is calendula
Marigold is an annual and perennial herbaceous plant that is native to Africa. Its name derives from the Latin, because it blooms in the first days of each month, or at the calends. It is characterized by the flower of a beautiful intense orange color and has a good scent. This plant is widely used to treat various types of ailments ranging from dermatological to those of the gastrointestinal tract, up to the problems of the circulatory system.
The properties of the calendula
Calendula has excellent antispasmodic properties and is therefore indicated for treating gastrointestinal disorders and period pains. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and it acts on irritated mucous membranes: in general, it helps to cure internal tissue disorders and in particular in cases of colitis, ulcer and gastritis. This plant, in addition to protecting the mucous membranes, is also useful in supporting the cardio-circulatory system: its intake seems to have stabilizing effects on the blood pressure and cardiac activity.
How to benefit from it
To treat disorders related to the stomach, intestines and the circulatory system, it is advisable to use it internally and therefore take it orally. There are several ways to do this. The first is through an infusion that we can make by taking a spoonful of calendula flowers and 200 milliliters of water. Boil the water and infuse the flowers for at least 10 minutes. So, filter it and drink it.
The second way is to drink 40 drops of calendula mother tincture twice a day. The mother tincture is a liquid preparation derived from the plant that has no contraindications, except in case of allergies to the plant itself. Taking it regularly allows you to stabilize blood pressure and counteract problems related to the gastrointestinal mucosa.
We have seen how it is possible to fight stomach, intestinal and circulatory system disorders with this plant with a thousand benefits.
