Within the framework of the agreement established between the Municipalities, UTE and the National Secretariat of Sports (SND) for the improvement of lighting in training soccer fields, the Club Independiente de la Liga Agraria has recently received an important contribution. The LED columns and lights have arrived at the club, which will be installed to modernize and improve the conditions of its field.
The Director of Decentralization, Álvaro Gómez, was present at the club’s playing field at the time of the teams’ arrival. This gesture underlines the commitment and importance that the Municipality of Salto gives to the local sports infrastructure.
The leadership of Club Independiente expressed its deep satisfaction for this significant achievement, which will not only benefit the club, but will also have a positive impact on sports in general in the department of Salto. The improvement in lighting will allow for better use of the field at different times and will contribute to the development of local athletes and sporting events.
Director Álvaro Gómez highlighted the joint work carried out by the Municipality of Salto, Deputy Lima, UTE and the SND to ensure that Salto was included in this national agreement. Gómez stressed that the inclusion of Salto in this agreement is the result of a long and coordinated effort, and that the delivery of the LED columns and lights is only the first step in a series of planned improvements.
In addition, Gómez announced that, as part of this agreement, the next stage of the lighting improvements will benefit the Baby Soccer League field located in the Dos Naciones neighborhood. This will be the next venue to receive the modern lighting, which underlines the commitment to extend the benefits to more sports communities in the department.
It is important to note that the transfer, placement of columns, wiring and installation of LED lights are the responsibility of the Public Services team of the Municipality of Salto. This task will be carried out with the aim of ensuring a high-quality installation that allows for maximum use of the new facilities for the benefit of athletes and the community in general.
