Column by Sergei Tishchenko. How many goals will Supryaga score in the spring?

In the match against Metalist-1925, Dynamo forward Vladislav Supryaga made an assist. The striker dropped the ball with his head during a corner kick to Maxim Dyachuk. I don’t remember the last time Vlad was noted for his effective actions on the football field.

Supryaga’s main problem is psychology. At a young age they began to mold him into a “new Shevchenko.” Then Dynamo immediately began to expect an effective and successful game. The agents decided that he was ready to play in the leading championship when nothing worked at the UPL level. Personal life has become public. My father and brother ended up in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Something was constantly expected from Vlad and he had to prove it. He began to skip stages of development. Everyone thought about their own interests, but not about Supryaga’s capabilities. All this led to the talented striker being completely lost. A series of injuries, loss of self-confidence. First they made him a super talent, and then a super loser.

Somewhere a similar situation once happened with Artem Dovbik. He was given large advances, but he could not confirm them. I had a very bad trip to Denmark. After which they didn’t really count on him anymore. Midtjylland, which works in conjunction with the English Brentford, is considered a club that knows how to sense a player’s potential. What changed everything was not so much the return to Dnepr, but the work with Igor Jovicevich. The Croatian coach is a very good psychologist and motivator. He restored Artem’s confidence in his own abilities and he began to shine.

Alexander Shovkovsky, a psychologist and motivator, is definitely no worse. He is good at working with players and their psychology. Maxim Dyachuk looked completely unsure of himself and made a lot of mistakes. Now there are much fewer mistakes, I even scored a goal. Alexander Sirota has become a completely different football player. Vlad Kabaev scored for Dynamo for the first time. Vladimir Shepelev, Alexander Tymchik… The players began to believe more in their own strengths.

I really hope that Shovkovsky will return all the confidence to Supryaga. It will help you understand yourself and mentally become a different person. Now Vlad doesn’t need big goals, but just move step by step from simple things – no injuries, playing time and goals scored. There will be an opportunity to work in winter. Now Benito (who is constantly in the team) and Matvey Ponomarenko deserve much more playing time in the first team than Supryaga. But Shovkovsky shows confidence in Supryaga. Gives him opportunities. I am sure that Mircea Lucescu never did this and would have put everything off until winter training.

There is no other way out. Supryaga hasn’t had any success lately. Nobody will be interested in his transition. Plus not a small salary. Dynamo themselves need to revive the once talented striker. There is great hope for Shovkovsky here.
