The Columérins responded once again to participate in the collection of waste, wildly abandoned here and there by people with little respect for the environment, during the World clean up day which took place took place from Wednesday September 13 in Colomiers and ended on Saturday September 16. The neighborhood committees, the Agora du Perget, the municipal council for children and young people and also several companies established in the area played the game by initiating cleaning operations throughout the perimeter of the municipality.
555 kg of waste
In total, 555 kg of waste was collected over the four days of this major city cleaning operation. 175 kg of waste for selective sorting, 237 kg of household waste, 120 kg of glass and no less than 23 kg of cans which will be sent to the K Net Partage association which will resell them to partner scrap dealers.
The money thus recovered will then be donated to benefit children suffering from rare diseases or those with disabilities. When an ecological action also becomes a gesture of solidarity!
