Indianapolis Colts (4-5) – New York Jets (2-6) : 45-30
There won’t be two exploits in a row for the Jets. In an evening marked by the exit of Mike White in the first quarter because of a pain in the right hand, Indianapolis dominated in the trenches, under the impetus of the duo of runners Jonathan Taylor (19 races, 172 yards , 2 TDs) and Nyheim Hines (6 races, 74 yards, 1 TD).
In total, Indianapolis gained 260 lengths on the ground and 272 more in the air. Symbol of this overwhelming domination, an offensive series composed only of a 78-yard run from Taylor to bring the score to 42-10 in the third quarter.

The New Yorkers could then only make the score a little less dishonorable, but never being threatening.
The Colts line dominates
Indianapolis quickly set the tone, with a defensive stop and three races from the start. Carried by a dominant line, the blue attack was also able to count on a Carson Wentz (22/30, 272 yards, 3 TDs) very own.
The Colts opened the scoring by Hines on their first offensive, but Mike White (7/11, 95 yards, 1 TD) found rookie Elijah Moore (7 rec, 84 yards, 2 TDs) to equalize on the next possession. But the Jets will quickly be buried by the terrible performance of their defense. Indianapolis finds the end zone on its next three offensives. That’s four touchdowns in four possessions in the first half, 28-10 at the break, mass is said.
Even if Josh Johnson (27/41, 317 yards, 3 TDs, 1 int) makes an honorable match, he can not follow. Because even if Indianapolis fails on the fourth attempt, the machine does not seize up. The next two possessions are completed by touchdowns, including the long-distance one of Taylor, the star of the evening.
Moore’s second touchdown at least has the merit of giving the Jets some hope for their rookie receiver. After the meeting, Robert Saleh said he was confident about Mike White’s chances of returning to training in the days to come. Rather good in the few minutes he played, the quarterback explained that he felt numbness in his fingers and could no longer hold the ball firmly.
