The Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, Víctor Villalobos Arámbula inaugurated the Center for Biotechnology of Edible, Alternative and Medicinal Mushrooms of the Postgraduate College (Colpos), in the State of Puebla.
He assured that this Center allows specialized studies on fungi in their different aspects, where their use and development are analyzed.
The head of Agriculture reiterated his agreement and pride for this new project that has been developed in conjunction with the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT), said agency and Colpos, who have managed to create this infrastructure by putting scientists as a priority.
Villalobos made a tour of the facilities where he said “we were able to verify the scientific quality and the quality of the research, as well as the use and projection of all this agro-industry.
Regarding the above, he emphasized that several projects are planned with Colpos to work with the benefits of fungi such as fertilization of the field, the degradation of organic matter, among other practical applications that are being studied.
Finally, he congratulated the Postgraduate College for the work done to attend this new center.
