Hannah Schlubeck completed classical studies at the Musikhochschule Wuppertal and has a breathtaking command of the nuances that the instrument makes available to her. With immense musicality, great expressiveness and irrepressible joy of playing, she is an eloquent ambassador for her instrument. Her boundless passion for music captivates the listener and makes every piece of music she plays a little rarity. Hannah Schlubeck was born Matthias and in 2020 dared to take the step to metamorphosis into a new life – in harmony with body and soul.
Thorsten Schäffer is a composer and sought-after piano accompanist. Schlubeck and Schäffer got to know each other during their studies at the Cologne University of Music, department Wuppertal, and have been giving concerts together ever since. The duo recorded their first CD in 1996.
