The organizers of RfP promise the possibility of an alternative festival Rock for People at Hradec Králové Airport as soon as the parameters of organizing summer events are clarified.

“We are not giving up and we are preparing a slightly different Rock for People this year to allow the fans and ourselves to relax from difficult times. As soon as it is clear under what conditions the events can be organized, we will announce the details. The whole team gave a lot of energy to the preparations for the 2020-2021 year in the hope that the vaccinations will return the world to normal and in the summer it will be possible to organize cultural events for a larger number of spectators. Unfortunately, the development of the epidemiological situation for the second time does not allow us to organize our classic international festival in full. We are in contact with all the main performers from this year and we are solving their participation for the year 2022, “added the festival director Michal Thomes.

“Last year we were incredibly supported by fans of the festival, we hope that they will remain in our favor and together we will manage the situation. This year we have become the operator of the entire festival complex in Hradec Králové and we are planning significant changes in it. In a year, we want to offer visitors, in return for their patience, a significantly improved space, ”adds Thomes.

This year, events such as the Masters of Rock in Vizovice, Colors of Ostrava and Metronome have given up earlier. The organization of festivals gradually lost its meaning not only due to the constantly changing restrictions on the part of the Czech government, but also because foreign stars are starting to cancel the tour and the program would be limited.

It is not just about festivals, nor can separate individual concerts be expected this year. More intimate events still have a chance.
