“Colorful Flower Market with Graceful Costumed People: A Meticulously Organized Event”

Neither too hot nor too cold despite the intermittent rains of recent days, the flower market was held in the morning with costumed people gracefully lending themselves to the pictures that delighted parents and children.

Costumes have come from quite a distance, such as Sabine and Guy from Namur and from Clonges la rouge in Corrèze. The “Collonges festive” association, having delegated Michelle and Jean Charles with Sable d’Orient; The Peacock Lady with Irma; Golden Ruby with Sylvie; Golden Twilight with Madeleine and Jean Claude.

A meticulous organization

Mealtime having arrived, Nicolas Lacombe, Mayor of Nérac and Departmental Councilor met the organizing committee as well as the many costumed people who had come to eat in this pretty green corner of the Bains du Roy square.

In his speech he congratulated the participants, some of whom came from afar like Namur, in Belgium, others from Niort, Chartres… as well as the local volunteers who prepared the event.

Solange Poloni, always on the lookout for what might be missing, a real conductor, thanked the municipality for making the equipment available because after the aperitif a seated meal was offered with tables and chairs for all these guests.

Well appreciated catering

The other participants came from Niort: Nathalie, Sonia and Bruno; from Clermont-Ferrand with Marie and Isabelle; from Toulon with Eve; from Thonon-les-Bains, Vichy with Yves and Marie, Christine and Brigitte; from the Landes with Françoise and Raphaelle; from Bollene with Muriel and Christian; from Chartres with Daniel and Geneviève; de la Rochefoucauld with Evelyne; from Charente and Charente-Maritime with Rose and Daniel, Christian and Michèle, others from Saintes and Royan.

Occitania was well represented there with Roseline and Patrice de Bézier, Jean-Michel and Chantal, Maud and Patrick, Mylène; Pascal and Dominique from Perpignan. The Basque Country was also represented as Hélène and Raymond de Castelsarrasin according to the files returned to the parade.

After the presentation of the costumes on the forecourt of the castle, the photo session continued on the monumental staircase then dances to the tunes of the Rondo Vénéziano were organized up to the forecourt of the castle. A great success that captivated the public and the children.
