In 51 inns, beer gardens and pubs you can experience the traditional Oktoberfest atmosphere with live music and specialties such as Hendl (grilled chicken), Haxn (pork knuckles), Ochs vom Spieß (beef from skewers) and Steckerlfisch (fish on a stick).

From October 15 to March 6, 2022, fantasy and reality meet in Kunsthalle Munich through the exhibition «Fantastically Real: Belgian Modern Art from Ensor to Magritte».
Included are about 130 paintings, graphic works and sculptures by modern Belgian artists. The exhibition shows how art in this period constantly explores the boundaries between fantasy and reality, with masterpieces from, among others, James Ensor, Paul Delvaux and René Magritte.
October 15 also opens Munich Volkstheater its doors open again in its new home in the Schlachthofviertel, now with one of the largest and most modern stages in Germany. Under the direction of theater director Christian Stückl, the repertoire includes both traditional plays, but also critical and modern plays by younger directors.
The new town hall on Marienplatz with its famous chimes, most Munich visitors probably know only from the outside. Anyone who wants to take a look inside the neo-Gothic building now has the opportunity to do so via guided tours of the town hall. In addition to experiencing the town hall balcony, where FC Bayern celebrated its championship title, you will also get to inspect the impressive reading room in the legal library, which has several times served as a film set. Film conference will probably also get visitors from the conference rooms. With their long tables, leather sofas, magnificent bronze chandeliers and wall panels, they are reminiscent of Harry Potter’s Hogwarts.

Culinary new discoveries and hotel openings
One of the most exciting restaurants this fall is Werneckhof Sigi Schelling . With her classic cooking style and focus on good ingredients, the new owner and chef Sigi Schelling redefines the restaurant’s traditional history after 14 years as deputy manager in Tantris. The renowned gourmet restaurant Tantris, for its part, reopens in October with a new, three-part concept: Haute cuisine from a menu led by chef Benjamin Chumra in Tantris, classic French dishes à la carte in Tantris DNA led by Virginie Protat and Bar Tantris.
