Police in the US state of Colorado arrested a drunk driver on Monday for speeding. When the driver was forced to a stop, he attempted to switch places with his dog to avoid arrest. The man was still arrested, the dog went free.
Police chased the motorist in Springfield for speeding. When the driver was summoned off the road, he maneuvered himself into the passenger seat. The dog then sat in the driver’s seat.
The man, who got out on the passenger side, claimed not to be the driver of the car. But there was no one in the vehicle besides the dog.
When the police asked if the suspect had been drinking, he tried to escape. Without too much success: less than 20 meters away he was arrested. After his arrest, it turned out that the man was wanted for two previous crimes.
