Colonialen Closes Meat Outlet “Slaughter” After Two Years of Losses

It is just over two years since Colonialen opened its own meat outlet in Strandgaten. Now it’s over for Slaughter.

They themselves report this on social media on Monday evening. The post is signed by the owners Ken and Laila Skorge.

– Sometimes we have to stick our finger in the ground, call a spade a spade or look the truth in the eye and react. Not everything goes as we plan and this time it’s about us. We have gone to great lengths with Slakt, says the post.

Two years of “clear losses”

It is after two years of “clear losses” that they are now throwing in the towel. The owners write that they have tried several different solutions to turn the loss-making project in the right direction, but acknowledge that it did not work.

– Unfortunately, we have to admit that we were not able to achieve this.

The owners continue with Fetevaren in both premises they have at their disposal.
