Colomiers. Where are our roots?: an exhibition by Claire Sauvaget at the Pavillon Blanc

The installations “Where are our roots?” by Claire Sauvaget took place in the exhibition hall and in the atrium of the Pavillon Blanc Henri-Molina, until March 5. They assemble digital impressions and roots. These luminous and vegetal sculptures float in the air like jellyfish. Myriads of small buildings draw fictitious worlds where nature and technology marry. Are these suspended, uprooted worlds? Or are we witnessing the birth of a civilization? Born in 1986, Claire Sauvaget grew up at the foot of the Ariège Pyrenees. Since 2008, she lives in Toulouse and works as a visual artist on video and sound installations, and sculptures. In 2016, his artistic practice develops towards sculptural and monumental forms and questions us about the relationship that man has with his natural and urban environment.
