Head of Clinic at the Faculty of Medicine, surgeon specialist in neurosurgery, researcher, professor, but also passionate about history – especially Occitan -, Jean Yves Bousigue is the author of numerous books on these subjects which he treated with passion. the scientist and the humanist approach. The Epicurean that he was, emeritus member of the Knights of the Order of Tastevin, was also passionately fond of rugby, nature, travel, reading. “Listening, available, very kind, he also exuded a natural authority which subjugated his interlocutors!” underlines André Carretier, president of the Cercle Laïque de Colomiers. “He joined us a dozen years ago. Totally devoted to the human cause, he was a man with a big heart, at the service of others, sincere, very attached to secular and republican values, for the good of all. He meant a lot to us: his skills, his righteousness, his know-how and especially his way of approaching life with its hazards and its daily constraints, always with a comforting word, full of humility and compassion, will always be missed!
