The Haut-Garonne club announces this Tuesday, August 9 an “end of collaboration by mutual agreement”, after the revelations of The Dispatch.
July 30, The Midi Dispatch revealed the provisional suspension as a precautionary measure for doping of Colomiers Rugby hooker Youssef Saaidia. Sanction pronounced by the AFLD, the French Agency for the fight against doping.
This Tuesday, August 9, the club at La Colombe announces the end of the collaboration with the 27-year-old player, “by mutual agreement”, while condemning the charges against his now ex-hooker: “Colomiers Rugby announces to have put an end to the contractual relationship linking him to his professional player, Youssef Saaidia” writes the club in a press release. “In fact, due to a positive doping control carried out by the AFLD involving the suspension of the player, the club and Youssef have terminated the latter’s employment contract by mutual agreement. The club regrets this situation in particular for a player from the columérine formation. It is obvious that Colomiers Rugby and its actors in no way endorse this practice, which goes against our values and those of our sport.”

He intends to prove his innocence
Since the beginning of July, Youssef Saaidia (27) had been barred from any contact with the club after a substance on the list of banned products was detected during an anti-doping control carried out on May 20, after the last barrage from Pro D2 to Oyonnax.
This sanction, pronounced on a provisional basis by the French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD), would not be linked to doping strictly speaking but rather to negligence. During a period of rehabilitation last season, the player would have indeed lacked vigilance on the composition of an over-the-counter food supplement.
Suspended as a precaution pending a final judgment, the player, who arrived at the club as a youngster, intends to prove his innocence.
