After the disappointment of not qualifying for the final phase, Colomiers rugby was however able to experience a great evening this Thursday evening. The club at La Colombe was the subject of a special evening for the Midi Olympique Oscars. On the program, lightness and a lot of good humor.

It was also an opportunity to celebrate Thomas Girard, who received the Oscar to reward all his commitment since 2018. His qualities as a receiver, his precision against the poles and his ability to play around him are strengths that make him a key player in Pro D2. Alexis Palisson was congratulated for his entire career. Nevertheless, playing most of it in the Top 14, earning numerous selections for the France team (21) and even playing in the 2011 World Cup final against the All Blacks is not enough for him. Evidenced by its beautiful season 2022-2023.

Finally, the Oscar hope trophy was awarded to Yann Peysson. Symbol of the club, the third center line has known everything at the club since the chicks. His rise to seniority does not owe to genetics. Even if his father Stéphane and his grandfather Jean-Louis were proud representatives of La Colombe in their time… His very technical franchisor profile earned him a place in the rotation of the professional workforce.

In closing words, Thomas Girard was able to thank his family in a very touching way and pay a vibrant tribute to the Colomiers rugby club: “It touches me particularly to receive this award here in Colomiers because it is a club that devotes a lot to training and it is something that touches me. Since my debut at Manosque I have been impressed by my educators and my coaches . It makes me all the more happy to be part of this club.”
