The police arrested the author of a wild rodeo on Friday evening in Colomiers, near Toulouse. His traveling companion escaped but the two machines were confiscated and impounded.
Rear wheel, unsuitable speed, roundabout taken in the wrong direction… Wearing caps and balaclavas, two motocross drivers took the streets of Colomiers for a playground, Friday evening around 9 p.m. Their rodeo did not go unnoticed and the police officers of the West BST reacted quickly to, on the one hand, avoid an accident and put an end to the disturbance of public order.
The two “pilots” were blocked. One of them abandoned his motorbike and ran away, managing to shake off the police who were chasing him. Her 19-year-old boyfriend, on the other hand, was arrested and taken into custody at the Tournefeuille police station.
“The two motorcycles, not homologated and therefore prohibited on the road, were confiscated and impounded”, specifies the national police.
Already Thursday evening, two 16-year-old minors were arrested in the Mirail district, in Toulouse, while they were having fun without helmets on 50 cm3 machines. Placed in police custody, they now have an appointment with the juvenile judge. “These rodeos are unbearable for many residents. We are really trying to counter this phenomenon by working in good collaboration with the municipal police, especially in Toulouise”, underlines the duty commissioner.
