The Omnisports de Colomiers will organize on Saturday June 18 at the Capitany sports complex a new edition of its Sports Festival. From 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., many columérine associations will come to offer free initiations and demonstrations of their activities to the curious of all ages.
“After an interruption linked to the health crisis, we are returning to the traditional celebration of sport and Olympism, which should normally take place on June 23, explains Marie-Christine Lainé, its president. The date of June 18 was preferred. to allow a greater number of sports clubs to participate without interfering with the calendar of the latest competitions or traditional club celebrations. The aim is to offer the public a meeting with our sports associations in order to discover new practices and above all to allow to try it. The upcoming holidays will be conducive to reflection and will encourage you to choose a sport for the start of the school year in September. Let’s not forget that France is hosting the Olympic Games in 2024 and that we only have two years to show that we are indeed a sporting country, which recognizes itself in the values of sport and knows how to derive all the benefits for its well-being. t friendly and the Omnisports will make every effort to ensure that the public appreciates this day dedicated to sports practice as well as family relaxation.”
On the program, at 9:30 a.m., opening of the sports festival and word from the president Marie-Christine Lainé. The associations of the US Colomiers Omnisports will be present in particular to offer free initiations and demonstrations: aikido, acroroller, fitness boxing, cycling, cycle tourism, gymnastics, judo, karate, kendo, bodybuilding, viet vo dao and multisports (tchoukball).
