Colomiers’ new walks Home

The spring weather encouraging outings (still within the limit of 10 km around his home), some associations have resumed their outdoor activities. Others, like Colomiers Accueil, are even creating new ones.

Thus, from Tuesday April 27, Colomiers Accueil offers walks to “stretch your legs”, chat, and discover some sites of Columérin heritage. Its president Evelyne Guilloteau, noting that the health crisis has undermined social links and physical maintenance, thus imagined “guided outings”: “Three circuits – not exceeding 3km – are now finalized, of others are in preparation. In order to test them and adjust them as needed, we are offering them, as a first step, to members of Colomiers Accueil. Several stops are planned, there are benches all along each route. places, cultural, historical, on which we will “settle” a little to get to know them better. The objective is to make these walks accessible to as many people as possible! “

The first Tuesday

Evelyne approached the Club Montagne de Colomiers to finalize the organization of these walks, and the municipal councilor and history teacher, Fabien Jouvé for his in-depth knowledge of the city’s history. See you at 2 p.m. for the first walks: Tuesday April 27: Old village, departure Place Alex Raymond. Tuesday May 18: Piquemil and Perget, departure from the Perget lake parking lot. Tuesday June 8: Marots, departure from Place des Marots.

“The groups will not exceed six people, but depending on the demand, we can reschedule the same circuit on another day! After the 1st visit (April 27), we will see if it is possible to open the following ones to other associations, “adds Evelyne,” on condition of course that they provide guides to respect the groups imposed on 6 people. I hope that this initiative will allow everyone to get away from it all for a stroll! “.

A new guide for pedestrians and cyclists

In the same spirit, the City of Colomiers offers several booklets allowing you to discover a good number of paths and walks in all the districts of the City: the small guide “Our city has charm”, the map of pedestrian and cycle walking routes columérins , as well as the detail of “natural sites, parks and gardens of Colomiers”.

“Our city has charm” thus presents two routes, of 15.8 km and 2.8 km, the first offering 3 “alternative routes” of 4 km, 2.2 km or 2.8 km. Everyone can thus identify what suits them best, since beyond the routes of the different routes, the walking times are also indicated: on foot, they represent walks from 3h30mn to 40mn, and by bike, from 1h to 15mn. What is more, these guides also highlight, along the way, some remarkable points and small historical reminders.

From the nature site of Aussonnelle to the Château du Cabirol, from Parc Duroch to that of Garroussal, from the garden of Lovers to the green belt of Ramassiers, the walks therefore combine diversity, nature, culture,… and discoveries.
