Already awarded at the end of September by Karine Traval-Michelet, Mayor of Colomiers, with the Athlete of the Year trophy, the Colomiers United States Judo Veteran Team welcomed this Monday, December 12, Frank Opitz, president of the Occitanie Judo League, and Thierry Lagoute, head of the Veteran sector of the League, for the delivery of sports equipment to the club’s veteran competitors who distinguished themselves during the European Championship in Crete and the World Cup in Poland, but also at the French championship last June. “After a friendly training, the athletes and their coach Ch. Bozzo, received a sports bag and a tracksuit in the color of the Occitan League for the next deadlines, especially Lille Eurométropole next January and the Médoc tournament next March” exults A. Saby, president of the club. Veteran athletes and the Colomiers Judo club sent a warm thank you to the league for its support. “The Veteran group of Colomiers is very dynamic both in its sporting results and in its investment and in its state of mind faithful to the values of judo. A great reference and role model for all young Judoka” concludes the strong man of the club.
