Just beaten at home by the leader Béziers (0-1), Colomiers is back to work today with a trip to Les Herbiers, the postponement of which had made USC cringe.
After the games via social networks, it’s time for the field. Originally scheduled for October 10, this trip to Vendée had to be postponed to make way for the Coupe de France match between Les Herbiers and its neighbor Pouzauges (also previously postponed due to a municipal decree), the schedule giving priority to the cup. A decision that had been very difficult to pass on the side of the USC, the club denouncing through a press release posted on Facebook and signed by its president Patrick Delacroix “of the tricks”, suspecting an arrangement which allowed the Herbaria to purge the suspension of “two of their best players” in the cup against Pouzaugues and not in the league against Colomiers. Comments deemed “defamatory and malicious” by the Herbarium club which retorted in the wake of a press release via the same social network.
Vengeful Vendeans
In this hectic extra-sporting context, Colomiers will try above all to bring back points from this trip to Vendée, four days after suffering his first defeat in more than nine months against the leader Béziers (0-1). If the Vendéens have been formidable at home since the start of the season (3 wins, 8 goals scored, none conceded), the Columérins are for their part unbeaten away (2 wins, 2 draws and only 1 goal conceded).
The Vendéens will also be keen to take their revenge on last season, they who lost in the first leg in Haute-Garonne (2-0), but also on their return to their home ground (0-1). Suffice to say that the Columérins are expected with a firm footing …
