Colomiers. Gymnastics: Chloé on the top step

Chloé Nguyen, 24, a resident of La Colombe Gymnique since the 2016-2017 season, was presented by Karine Traval-Michelet with the Sportsman of the Year trophy for the columérin athletes who have distinguished themselves during the year 2022. but also in the two previous seasons. The mayor had not been able, due to Covid, to celebrate them as he should.

For this young columérine steeped in the world of gymnastics from early childhood alongside her mother, the grail occurred in January 2020 during the individual French championships by climbing to the top step of the podium in her Federal 18+ category in rhythmic gymnastics. “After a two-year break for my studies, I wanted to go back to competitions to have fun above all and my progress from year to year has brought me to the end”, she says. I owe a lot to the columérin club and in particular to Aurélie, who has been able to accompany me and prepare me for deadlines throughout my career.”

Today, Chloé is still involved in Colombe Gymnique as she trains girls aged 9 to 13. “I feel really good here, it’s really a family club. Everyone knows and respects each other. Thanks to everyone’s involvement, the club is moving forward. In addition, the young gymnast has resumed competitions in a duet with Oriane Richard, her partner since childhood: “The 2020 coronation was my last individual competition. All conditions were met to perform. Today, with Oriane, we are setting ourselves new goals together”.

Currently in training to become a physiotherapist in the world of sports, the young columérine wishes “to thank Thao Dang, Anne Laure Masbou and Aurélie Blanchard, without whom my journey would not have been the same without their participation and support”. A journey that is now waiting to write new stories.
