The 26-year-old scrum-half approaches the future deadlines with appetite, starting with the perilous trip to Perpignan from tomorrow, where he should regain a starting place. The opportunity also to take stock of its future.
After a first part of the season where we did not see you too much holder, you will have the opportunity with the injury of Edoardo Gori. How do you understand it?
With the injury of Edoardo (Gori, affected facing Carcassonne and victim of a sprain of the internal lateral ligament of the left knee, Editor’s note) who continues to give me a lot of advice and the unavailability of Ugo (Séguéla, who must return of an internship with the – 20 years French in Portugal), the circumstances mean that I will have more playing time. This is what I had asked the coaches, now me to do the job quite simply, without headlock. Now, I want to chain matches. I am someone who needs confidence to be good. I’m not going to hide it, I am totally emotional. Today, I need to regain automatisms. I want to show my true face and take the right wagon.
It will begin with a trip to Aimé-Giral, with the cador of the division. It’s a great challenge that awaits you …
Pfff (he blows) we go to the big team … They roll over everyone, they have just put 40 points in Aix, 30 points in Mont-de-Marsan, and in addition they have signed two Argentinian internationals ( center Jeronimo de la Fuente and opening half Patricio Fernandez). The only positive point for us is that there will not be their 16th man at Aimé-Giral. Once that said, we are very happy to go to Aimé-Giral to face the best in Pro D2, against players of international class. It motivates, it makes you want to compete. For us, it’s a great test, nothing more, nothing less.
Last question, you are at the end of your contract next June. Where do you see your future?
I feel really good in Colomiers, I am in a cocoon. It’s a club that really represents the values that I want to practice. The leaders are healthy, the staff and coaches have created a state of mind within the group that really resembles me. The old ones, the Béco, Maurino, Bézian, Macovei… are great with us. We are just laughing, everything is in the second degree, it’s simple, easy. We all have different personalities and that’s what makes it work. To come back to me, today, I have the opportunity to show what I know how to do and the progress made over the past year and a half in contact with the group and Fabrice Culinat. I do not take the lead, I will try to do my best and come what may.
