The general practitioner and novelist from Toulouse, Baptiste Beaulieu, will be present at the La Préface bookstore on Saturday 10 December from 2pm to 4pm for an autograph session for his first youthful album entitled “Les gens est beaux”. In this book, illustrated with watercolors by Quebec artist Qin Leng, the beauty and diversity of bodies is celebrated. The author of several adult novels explains why this book is aimed at a younger audience: “I know how damaging social networks can be to their image. My book deals with this topic and is aimed at young people just before adolescence , so as little seeds to arm them intellectually”. In “People are beautiful”, a grandfather (Papou) and his grandson meet different people … Papou, a retired doctor, makes his grandson believe that he knows everyone in Paris and also the history of their body. The child will eventually understand that a body is never neutral. A hymn to beauty, tolerance and a benevolent gaze. “People are beautiful” is published by Les Arènes.
