Next March, the medical offer which is developing around the town hall will see the arrival of a new analysis laboratory. The independent Airbio network will install one of its two columerine antennas in premises currently under construction opposite the future medical center and the Allégorie senior residence.
“We were cramped in our premises on the Allée d’Occitanie in the city center with a parking problem for our patients,” explains Valérie Rivenc, a biologist who is monitoring the construction of the future laboratory. “As in Blagnac, we called on the architectural firm Puig-Pujol which carries out the same type of construction, namely a building on stilts which allows for parking below”. Doctor Rivenc also specifies that “it is not a question of a regrouping” with the other laboratory of the city located in Val d’Aran. The latter will be transferred to new premises during the renovation of the district which will begin shortly.
Public planning
To support these private projects, the town hall and Toulouse Métropole have launched road and parking works.
The creation of a new square and its adjoining car park is in progress on allée du Roussillon. The site is planned in three phases until
February 2021. The redeveloped Place du Roussillon will include a tree-lined forecourt, islands of shrubs, new grassed pedestrian areas and renovated lighting furniture, as well as 74 parking spaces, including a terminal for electric vehicles.
These developments should facilitate access to the senior residence, to the new medical center, to the analysis laboratory, to shops and to surrounding roads. After the paved area on rue de Limogne, work continues on the forecourt located on allée du Roussillon. The last phase will concern the development of parking spaces.
