Colomiers. 40 years of scouts: exhibition and garage sales

Sunday May 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Groupe Scouts et Guides de France de Colomiers is organizing its 12th and now traditional garage sale at Parc Duroch.

Known and appreciated by exhibitors, visitors and buyers, the Scouts garage sale drains all of western Toulouse: and for good reason, it offers… everything, and in ideal conditions of presentation and setting. There is no doubt that after two years of deprivation due to the health crisis, everyone will find something for themselves: the presence of 160 exhibitors should always tempt the thousands of “curious” people identified during previous editions.

In addition, in the heart of the park’s greenery, a refreshment bar and food truck will enhance the lunch break.

Highly solicited, the Scouts of Colomiers always respond “present” to a number of columérin festive events. “Their” garage sale will once again demonstrate their efficiency and their sense of sharing, notably offering games to all the children in the afternoon.

This garage sale greatly contributes to the financing of their activities: mainly to the training of leaders, the purchase of equipment (tents, etc.), and youth projects. This year the Cub Scouts and Brownies (8-11 years old) will camp for a week in Ariège at Montségur, the Scouts and Guides (11-14 years old) two weeks in the region, and the Pioneers-Caravelles (14-17 years old) 15 days close to Marseille. As for the Companions (17 and 18 years old), they prepare their projects as a team, most likely with a camp in Portugal.

The Colomiers group celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, a photo exhibition will retrace its history. Former members will also be honoured: the “gold medal for Youth, Sports and Associative Commitment” will reward their 30 years of commitment to various associations, and mainly to the Scout movement. .

We just have to cross our fingers so that, on Sunday, a smiling weather invites itself to the party!
