On the night of Thursday, August 13, the Colombian Juana Jiménez entered a well-known store in Madrid, capital of Spain. According to her testimony, she was going to look for a perfumery product and asked the guard for the information. She went to the sales area but couldn’t find the item, she says.

On the way, she felt that the guard was close and ended up chasing her through the aisles of the supermarket.

According to Jiménez’s account, he decided to leave the premises. It was then that the watchman told him that he had not bought anything.

According to the complaint, she said no and he accused her of robbery, abused her and locked her in a small warehouse. The situation was seen by other customers and employees of the commercial establishment.

From the business they called the police, whose uniforms arrived and found that the trans woman had nothing in her power. Then they reviewed the images of the security cameras but no crime was seen either.

“In the videos you only see the harassment of the vigilante”, says the complainant, Jiménez, who was taken by the police to the forensic doctor.

The actress says she was affected because she had just had an operation on one of her breasts. So, she decided to file a complaint.

“Not only in our Colombia atrocious cases occur like that of Luis Álvarez in Sincelejo, Every day in the world many people from the LGBT community are victims of violent acts, due to intolerance, lack of respect for our differences and above all due to lack of equality, “says Jiménez, who is an actress and film director.

He noted that “we hope that a country like Spain, where homophobia does not exist and the LGBT community feels freer, will not continue to present these acts, neither there nor anywhere in the world.”

The artist has a history of participation in the cinema of Italy, where she arrived years ago to advance her acting career, in film and television productions in which she has been alongside actors such as Robert de Niro and Mónica Belucci.
