“Colombian Mafias” Train in Drop-by-Drop Loans in Peru, Sparking Police Action

Peruvian media denounced this Sunday, May 7, that “Colombian mafias” dedicated to drop-by-drop loans have created ‘training centers’ For those who want to dedicate themselves to making loans and mainly collections under threats to their clients.

According to the information shared by the Peruvian media “Trome”, the police discovered a condominium in Chorrillos, one of the districts that make up the province of Lima, which functioned as an academy in which Colombian citizens taught their compatriots everything necessary to engage in this illegal business.

“In this place they taught them everything about drop-by-drop loans, cHow to lend the money, how to collect the money and what to do with people that they cannot pay their loans”, police sources affirmed.

On the other hand, in a report on the television program Panorama, it was announced that in these “academies” in addition to teaching the step by step to collect loans, Colombians they are given ‘a drop by drop kit’which contains: A cell phone with a loan application, business cards, maps with the extortion route, enough money to make the loans and a motorcycle.

Given the increase in cases and people who report having been victims of this type of loan in Lima, Colonel Marco Conde, head of the anti-robbery police, asked people who are being threatened by these mafias to approach the police and report your case.

The National Police of Peru launched the campaign “The drop-by-drop loan is a crime.
