Colombia withdraws from the co-organization of the next Copa America (June 11 – July 10), leaving Argentina the sole host ground for the competition. The Argentinian media TyC Sports explains that the leaders of the Colombian Football Federation met this afternoon with the leaders of the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL), who accepted this withdrawal. Due to social conflicts linked to tax reform, Colombia cannot guarantee sufficient security to host the event. Argentine President Alberto Fernandez has given the green light to host the 2021 Copa America in Argentina.
