Bagota: the new Colombian still left government statements to suspend air strikes towards armed groups. The motion is to preserve civilians and children who are forcibly recruited into corporations. Protection Minister Ivan Velázquez instructed reporters that the transfer displays the government’s willingness to negotiate with armed groups.
The bombing of rebel camps in Colombia is a controversial issue. Far more than 4.50 lakh people have been killed in the civil conflict that lasted 6 many years. In 2019, then Protection Minister Guillermo Botero resigned after 8 youngsters aged 12 to 17 were being killed in a military offensive towards rebels by the Groundbreaking Armed Forces of Colombia. 4 kids have been also reportedly killed in an attack on the chief of the Countrywide Liberation Army two a long time later on.
President Gustavo Petro, a former rebel fighter elected president in June, has expressed his readiness to negotiate with the rebels to finish the conflict. Rebel teams have extensive recruited kids to enhance their energy in spots where they are not present. In 2016, the govt signed a peace agreement with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia. But the rebel customers of the group, who rejected the offer, refused to lay down their arms.
