This Saturday Colombia reported 9,173 new cases of Covid-19, after several weeks with an index between 12 thousand and 15 thousand daily infections. This was reported by the Ministry of Health after it became known that the country is included in the group of 18 nations that will receive the vaccines from the Covax mechanism in February.
In the same way, the death of 366 people due to the virus was reported, of which 330 correspond to previous days. Today 14,610 recovered from the disease were also reported in Colombia.
With these figures, Colombia reaches a total of 2,086,806 confirmed cases since the pandemic began, 1,924,401 have already recovered; 53,650 deaths and a total of 10,037,909 samples processed.
On the last day, 65,711 tests were carried out throughout the national territory: 34,824 of PCR and 30,887 of antigens.
Colombia currently ranks 11th in the world with the highest number of coronavirus cases below countries such as Germany, Turkey, Italy, Spain, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, Brazil, India and the United States.
The territories that most reported cases this Saturday were Bogotá, with 2405 new infections; Antioquia, with 1,171 new cases; and Valle, with 1169.
