Colombia received a new batch with more than 320 thousand AstraZeneca anticovid-19 vaccines

A new batch with 326,400 doses of vaccines against covid-19 arrived in the country this Saturday afternoon.

These vaccines were purchased through the bilateral agreement that Colombia has with the pharmaceutical company and will be used mainly for the application of second doses.

With this new batch, the country has acquired more than 29 million doses of vaccines against covid-19, without taking into account those that were purchased by private parties.

Thus, Colombia adds 11,210,940 biologicals from Pfizer, 12’000,004 from Sinovac, 3’131,700 from AstraZeneca / Oxford and 2’980,000 from Janssen received for the National Vaccination Plan.

It should be remembered that until Friday, 23,261,038 doses of covid-19 vaccines had been applied in the country, of that total 1’629,070 have been single doses from Janssen.

In the case of Valle del Cauca, 2,114,149 doses of the anticovid vaccine from different pharmaceutical companies have been applied in the department.

To date nationwide 13,176,565 people have received the first dose of the anticovid vaccine and 8’455,403 have received the second dose.

In total, in the entire territory, 20’084.473 people have already completed their vaccination schedule against covid-19.
