Colombia premiered archeology series

This series, which is on Colombian television for the first time, will be in charge of reconstructing and explaining in a didactic and entertaining way, complex issues related to heritage, history and archeology; Archaeolombia was produced by the company Cinergia Films and it is a journey that accounts for four little-explored places that have great value in understanding the roots and identity of Colombia.

The Andean Region, the Darien jungle and the department of Cauca, are part of this fascinating journey through the ancestral and colonial memory of history, where by the hand of professionals and most recognized experts, you will get to know these places and the heritage value that there it rests.

“Arqueolombia is made by Colombian talent who seeks to strengthen the appropriation of archaeological heritage,” says the filmmaker and director of the project, Sebastián Cardona Sierra, and it is essential to understand ourselves as Colombians.

“The team of filmmaking professionals and scientists who participated in the production is of the highest human and professional quality,” says Darío Uribe Verú, the series’ associate and field producer.

Victoria Cedeño the executive producer maintains that: “We touch very deep issues, it is the ancestral, and those issues have secrets”, and that is what makes Arqueolombia an innovative, different and novel bet that has been recognized by such important entities as the Faculty of Archeology of the Externado University, and the Colombian Institute of Anthropology and History ICANH.
