Colombia intercepts more than 2000 kilos of cocaine, ‘destination was the Netherlands’

More than 2000 kilos of cocaine were found in Colombia in a container that, according to local media, would go to Rotterdam. The drugs have a value of more than 90 million euros, according to the police and army.

The find was in the port of Cartagena. Colombian media report that the cocaine was distributed in more than 2000 packages, which were hidden in bags in a container with refrigerators. That container would be shipped to the Netherlands. Authorities have not given any details about the find.

Colombia is the world’s largest producer of cocaine. Last summer a striking drug transport was intercepted; the Navy then discovered a submarine with 2000 kilos of cocaine on board.
