Colombia Faces Water Shortage Crisis as Rainfall Decreases: Weekend Weather Forecast for April 13-14, 2024

Rainfall in Colombia in recent months has not been present, as in past years, and that is why, in cities like Bogotá, restrictive measures have had to be adopted for the precious liquid due to the low levels in the reservoirs that supply water both to the capital as well as to different municipalities

According to the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (Ideam), the rainy season will begin for regions such as the Caribbean or the Andean, also including areas such as the Orinoquia, next to the center and north of the Amazon.

However, in the country’s capital, they are still waiting for the return of the rains to try to address the shortage of water resources.

What will the weather be like in Colombia on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14, 2024?

For the weekend of April 13 and 14, 2024, it is predicted that rain will arrive lightly in regions such as Pacifica and Amazonia. In addition, to the north and west of the Andean region, partially covered skies are expected, according to the Ideam report.

For Saturday the 13th, rainfall is expected to be in the departments of Chocó, Valle del Cauca, Cauca, Nariño, Antioquia, Sur de Santander, western Boyacá and Cundinamarca, as well as in Risaralda, Caldas, Quindío, Huila, Putumayo , Caquetá, Guainía and Vaupés.

While for Sunday the 14th, a decrease in cloudiness and rain is estimated in regions such as the Orinoquia, Caribbean, Amazonia and in areas of the Andean region.
