At the time of his injury, he had scored five of Cologne’s eleven goals this season. Now Davie Selke is at least training individually again.

Davie Selke is the first of the three long-term injured strikers of Bundesliga relegation candidate 1. FC Köln to return to the training pitch. Selke, who scored five of Cologne’s only 15 goals this season so far, completed an hour-long individual session with athletic trainer Leif Frach on Thursday. The 29-year-old had missed the last four Bundesliga games due to a foot injury.

“So far we are fully on schedule, fortunately there have been no setbacks,” said Selke. It is still unclear when he can be used again. In addition to the silver medalist from the 2016 Olympics, FC are currently missing the two former national players Mark Uth and Luca Waldschmidt on the offensive.
