Cologne – Shooting in the densely populated residential area in Cologne-Vingst! A man was shot around 4 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. He had just gotten into a Golf GTI with a female companion when, according to witnesses, a dark-skinned man approached the car with a pistol and fired several shots.

Victim hit in the legs
An eyewitness explains: “Three shots were fired in a row in a very short space of time. I ran out immediately afterwards, but the perpetrator was already gone.”
Local residents immediately rushed to the scene to provide first aid to the victim. A police spokesman told BILD: “The man suffered gunshot wounds in his legs.” However, his condition is stable and he is in a hospital. Miraculously, the passenger was uninjured.

Particularly interesting: According to local residents, the alleged perpetrator sat on a bench near the car for hours before the shooting and smoked a joint.
“We were wondering what he was doing here. He was literally waiting for his victim,” an eyewitness told BILD.

Immediately after the shots were fired, the perpetrator fled on foot. A large-scale manhunt has been launched, and a police helicopter is also in use, circling the area from the air.
Investigators from the criminal police are also at the crime scene to secure evidence.
