Cologne: This is what the first “Long Night of the Cologne Breweries” offers

With live bands, Cologne music, sing-along concerts and DJ sets, breweries and Cologne restaurants will be attracting visitors to the first “Long Night of Cologne Breweries” on Saturday, October 26th. The event is part of the “Kölsch connects” campaign, with which members of the Cologne Brewery Association appear together in public for the first time and want to promote Kölsch and Cologne’s beer and brewery culture.

Admission to concerts and shows is free

“With the Long Night of the Cologne Breweries, the diversity and tradition of our brewery culture can be experienced,” says Christian Kerner, Managing Director of the Cologne Brewery Association. “We look forward to celebrating this special night together with the guests.”

In the morning at the cathedral Thomas Cüpper plays “Klimpermännche”, while things get magical in the Hellers Brauhaus on Saturday: the Cologne magician André Desery appears there. The Gaffel am Dom invites you to a sing-along concert with Ben Randerath, which is all about the 90s. Bands are also there live: Stadtrand plays in the Kölsche Boor, in the Brauhaus Pütz “Dan O’Clock & Friends”. The duo “Blues m’r jet” performs at Grandma Kleinmann’s.

With more than 30 participating restaurants, there is a program not only in the city center: in the Ringströßje in Lindenthal, for example, the singer-songwriter Mathias Nelles performs, in the Bayenthaler Wirtshaus the band Hörgeräte presents a sing-along concert with German rock and pop songs and in the Brauwelt Köln in Kalk can be sung in the vaulted cellars.

Admission to the respective programs is free. More information about the participants in the “Long Night of Kölschen Brauhäuser” as well as the respective times for the concerts can be found on the website of the “Kölsch connects” campaign www.koelschverbindet.de/die-lange-nacht-der-koelschen-brauhauser.
