Cologne –
The Cologne police arrested a 56-year-old fraudster in the southern part of the city on Tuesday morning. The homeless is accused of not having paid hospital bills worth several thousand euros in the past 17 years, the police said.
The uninsured, police-known fraud is said to have fled the hospital before being discharged without paying the bills. During the current hospital stay, an employee noticed that the bills were still open, whereupon he alerted the police. (red)
