According to a report, Stefan Raab is getting reinforcements for his boxing match against Regina Halmich. An Olympic hero is at his side.
In his comeback in front of the TV camera, Stefan Raab is leaving no stone unturned to get in shape for his third boxing match against former world champion Regina Halmich. According to a report in the “Bild” newspaper, the TV entertainer has hired prominent support for his training: The bronze medalist from the Olympic Games in Paris, Nelvie Tiafack, will be Raab’s trainer.
The 25-year-old from Cologne, who will soon be turning professional, is to prepare Raab for the exhibition fight, which will take place next Saturday in Düsseldorf. There was no confirmation of the report at first. The fight is scheduled for a maximum of six rounds of two minutes each. RTL will broadcast the spectacle live.
However, Raab’s preparations go beyond training with Tiafack. In addition to sessions in a Cologne boxing studio, the entertainer has also hung up sandbags in his own apartment for additional training, according to “Bild”. Raab has already fought Halmich twice – and lost both times. Halmich even broke Raab’s nose once.
However, he wants to return to Cologne again and again for his free time. If Tiafack does indeed move abroad, his mother will probably not accompany him. She wants to continue working in Germany and look after refugees.
