Cologne: Colonius television tower illuminated with a special message

Cologne’s Colonius television tower in the inner green belt shone on the fourth Advent: “Stay healthy” was thrown at the landmark in large letters of light.

A starry sky should be projected at the top of the tower, announced the responsible company Deutsche Funkturm GmbH.

The illuminated image can be seen between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Saturday and from 5.30 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday.

Colonius: Cologne TV tower is 167 meters high

Almost everyone in Cologne is familiar with the Telekom T on Colonius. Many Cologne residents aged 40 and over can still remember when the restaurant was open high up at 167 meters above sea level.

It was closed in 1994 and since then the Colonius has only served as a television tower and as part of the Cologne panorama. (red)
