A 44-year-old Hyundai driver collided on Saturday evening in Liebenthaler Strasse in Zehdenick with a light mast next to the road.
The driver of the vehicle was significantly under the influence of alcohol at 2.23 per mille, as shown by a breath alcohol test carried out on site. With the help of the fire brigade and the responsible power supply company, the damaged light mast was disconnected from the power grid in order to exclude possible dangers.
A blood sample was taken from the driver, his driver’s license was confiscated and he was not allowed to continue his journey. Criminal charges were also filed.
