THE CEDRALS. A head-on collision between two vehicles left one dead. The road mishap occurred last Tuesday, around 5:00 p.m., on Monday Avenue, on the way to Presidente Franco.
The fatal victim was Cristian David Álvarez, who was in command of a Kia car, Picanto model. The second person involved is Fabio Heiiti Kudo, a Brazilian national, who was driving a Chevrolet brand truck, model S10.
Heiiti Kudo pointed out that he was traveling to Santa Rita when a vehicle allegedly ran into him. To avoid the crash, he carried out an evasive maneuver, but ended up crashing into the Kia, which was moving in the opposite direction.
As a result of the impact, Álvarez was trapped in his vehicle, so the firefighters carried out the rescue tasks. Later, they transferred him to the emergency room of the Ciudad del Este Regional Hospital, where he died.
The road mishap was reported to prosecutor Viviana Sánchez, who ordered the breathalyzer test for the driver of the Chevrolet truck, the result of which was negative.
