A call for strike and mobilization on the day of April 2, 2024 was launched nationally by the Education inter-union (SNES-FSU, SNEP-FSU, FNEC FP FO, CGT Educ’action and SUD education) to which were added , in Sarthe, the Unef and the CNT.
They are calling for demonstrations against the clash of knowledge in secondary education. The unions denounce in particular the level groups (since renamed need groups) desired by the Prime Minister in colleges at the start of the school year, which according to them will “sort the students” and “deepen inequalities”. They also demand a salary increase without compensation and resources for public schools.
