A college student named Nehal Khan (20) was killed in an accident on his way home on a private motorcycle in Sayadpur from Nilphamari.
Syedpur Sadar Police Station Officer (OC) Faim Uddin said the incident took place on Thursday (November 21) around 12:30 pm at Dalagach junction on the bypass road.
Deceased Nehal is the elder son of Minhaj Uddin of Nayabazar area of Saidpur city. He was a class 12 student in Business Education at Sunflower School and College in the city.
According to the police and witnesses, three people including Nehal were passing through the bypass road on a motorcycle. The motorcycle hit a stationary truck on the way. Three people including the driver Nehal were seriously injured. When they were rescued and taken to Syedpur’s 100-bed hospital, the doctor declared Nehal dead.
Abdur Rauf, who was a partner of the deceased, said that three friends were returning home on a motorcycle as usual. He hit a truck on the way.
Syedpur Police Station OC Faim Uddin confirmed the fact of the incident on Friday morning (November 22) and said that the incident took place at Dalagh Junction on Thursday night. After the legal process, the deceased was handed over to the family for burial.
