Last August, collector Eric Voskuil told a sad story. After a long search, he found and bought two decks of collectible playing cards with photographs of 1950s Kyoto that Nintendo released over 70 years ago. However, he did not rejoice for long, because the old cards, not covered with a protective layer, stuck together into a cardboard brick over the decades.
However, the story didn’t end there. Eric’s story got into the media, after which two people from different US states wrote to the collector with a difference of one day and offered him exactly the same decks. One of them was found at the sale of someone’s property, and the second was found in an abandoned house.
