In accordance with the announcements of Pierre Cuny during the meeting of the municipal council this Monday, February 28 (see opposite), the City of Thionville, in connection with all the charities of Thionville and the Sillon lorrain, has decided to support to the Ukrainian people by setting up a collection. From this Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and until Friday noon, the Espace Saint-Nicolas will collect, for reasons of prioritization and organization, only essential hygiene products for children and adults. Those who wish can therefore bring: shower gels/shampoos, sanitary napkins, toothpaste and toothbrushes, razors, baby diapers, cottons, handkerchiefs… So no medicines or foodstuffs or toys or clothes.
In collaboration with the Sillon Lorraine and the Civil Protection, a convoy will pass through Thionville on Friday to collect the products collected to join a national convoy which will leave for Ukraine this Saturday, March 5.
