The spokesperson for the Collectif Bassines Non Merci was summoned this morning at 9:00 a.m. to the Niort gendarmerie. A new police custody accompanied by a rally of support.
At the end of 3.5 hours in police custody, Julien Le Guet emerged free from the Niort gendarmerie where he had been summoned for 9 a.m. “It’s a real waste of time, human resources and public money, for insignificant facts ” commented the spokesperson for the Collective.
This Tuesday, October 31, Julien Le Guet was expected at the Niort gendarmerie, but to answer questions sent by the Rouen gendarmerie, via investigators from the Poitiers research section!
At the heart of this affair, the damage and deterioration committed during a rally against a motorway bypass in Rouen, six months ago. According to Julien Le Guet, these are “penknife blows made in a hundred-year-old oak doomed to be felled during the work”. This hearing was to allow the Évreux public prosecutor to know whether or not he was closing this case.
During this 8th time in police custody, he chose, as always, not to eat. “Each time I am deprived of my freedoms, I will stop eating and drinking.”
According to the spokesperson for the Collective, this custody is part of “of a strategy with a form of harassment which mobilizes time and energy“.
Outside, his supporters were present to accompany him. Everyone was motivated after the decision of the Poitiers administrative court which went in their favor regarding the Priaires water reservoir (79).
